Philips Xperion 6000 Recognized with Prestigious Red Dot and IF Accolades

Form, Function, and Versatility of Philips LED work lights shine

Frankfurt, Germany – June 21, 2022 – The Philips Xperion 6000 work lights have won two coveted international design awards for 2022. The Red Dot award recognizes products that demonstrate outstanding design and the Red Dot jurors praised the Xperion 6000’s versatility and ability to create a pleasant working environment. Concept, form, function, and differentiation are the areas in which the Philips work lights scored highest for the iF Design Award jurors. Both competitions attract thousands of entries annually and are judged by design experts from around the world.

The Red Dot seal of international design quality
The Red Dot Design Award, whose origins date back to the 1950s, is internationally recognized for highlighting the best in design and innovation. The Product Design category draws entries from sectors as diverse as fashion, robotics, and sports equipment. Submissions are evaluated on criteria including functional performance and aesthetics, with the jury awarding the prized Red Dot to products that set new standards in design.

The iF Design Award, a global symbol of excellent design
Celebrating skillful design for nearly 70 years, the iF Design Awards provide an arena for quality and creativity of design in a range of disciplines. Working in groups of three, jurors rate each entry against five specific benchmarks. In 2022 from a pool of over 10,000 products and projects, the Philips Xperion 6000 range was chosen as a clear winner in the tools category.

Philips Xperion 6000: designed with and for professionals
Created with input from car mechanics, the Philips Xperion 6000 range provides bright, adjustable LED illumination through a wide-angle main light and an additional spotlight for detailed tasks or narrow gaps. This makes the work lights ideal both for intricate jobs and for illuminating the entire work area. Their rugged construction features IK07 impact resistance and protection against water splashes, dust, grease, workshop solvents, and most chemicals. A 360°-rotatable hook and integrated magnets ensure the lights can be securely positioned, leaving both hands free. And a single charge of the high-capacity battery generates enough power for a whole day’s work using different light modes.

A range of optional extras helps users get the most from the Philips Xperion 6000. The Find My Device accessory provides a quick way to track down misplaced lamps via an audible buzzer and flashing light. With cordless charging and a convenient storage point, the Multi Dock Station keeps these LED work lights ready to go.

Commenting on the design honors, Andy Fengchao Guo, Lumileds Global Product Manager for LED Work Lights & Signaling, said: “Winning either of these prestigious awards is an outstanding achievement, but to receive both in the same year underlines the thought and creativity that went into designing the Philips Xperion 6000 range. Customer feedback suggests those who use our work lights agree with the judges.”
